Introduction

The Bahirji Smarak Mahavidyalaya, Vasmatnagar has a Students Welfare Fund (S.W.F.), which provides financial assistance to the needy students of the college who find it difficult to continue their studies due to financial difficulties. Every year SWF is distributed funds in the form of stationary, library facility, University examination fee wave off, etc., among the needy students based on the verification conducted by a committee constituted by the Principal. Amount is donated by faculties and others. Every year an amount of Rs.1000- collected from the faculty, which was distributed to students in the form of wave off Examination Fee, stationary. This aid is given to only those students who are not in receipt of any scholarships, finanicially weaker, widow, divorced and whose parental income is less than Rs. 100000/- per annum.

Aim
The aim of the Students Welfare Fund (S.W.F.) is to give financial support to College students who need incidental help covering course related expenses such as books or other study related costs.

Objective
• To render financial assistance to poor and deserving students for payment of
• examination fees, purchase of text books, stationery etc.
• To grant limited assistance to students to meet their hostel charges, expenses on
• clothes and emergency medical expenses, if their needs are considered genuine;
• to meet any other needs of students considered to be genuine by the committee
• referred to in rule
• The fund shall not be utilized for award of scholarship/ fellowships or stipends or for
• payment of prizes, rewards etc., to students.

Organization

A small S.W.F. committee led by the Principal, Bahirji Smarak Mahavidyalaya, Vasmatnagar sets the available budget for aid in academic year and considers applications made by students.
