1. Brief History

The Department of English is established in the year 1971 with UG course and continues to serve with quality education from last 54 years. The department is known for reputed teaching and research. The department has a team of 02 highly qualified, dedicated, fulltime and experienced faculty with 02 CHB faculty. The Department has spacious, well-furnished and well equipped language laboratory along with latest software. Many students are serving in defense, government, and corporate sector as well as in higher education & in junior colleges & schools.

Dr. Narsingh Maroti Pimparne joined the department on 28/11/2008 and working as Head Department of English. And, another faculty member Mr. Pradip Ingole joined the department on 16/06/2016. Several Alumni of the department are playing the role in the society as politician, government servant, teacher, and entrepreneur. The department motivates the students to participate in different academic competitions and competitive examinations.

4. Report:

The Department of English conducted a Certificate Course In Basic English for every academic year.The students are motivated and they got skill of mobile repairing. This certificate course conducted with the aim to improve knowledge in multimedia, and to make the students be prepared for job opportunities and to make awareness about this field. The course was conducted successfully and the certificates were distributed to the students.

A. Title: The language Lab

The language laboratory plays an important role in the language learning process. The focus is on the analysis and evaluation of receptive & productive skills based on various task based/machine-based activities. It also focused on the development of target and scenario based communication processes using correct English for language learning purposes It focuses on the development of students’ language & communication skills, critical thinking, and problem solving skills through the understanding of 4 pillars of English Language viz. Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing Students from rural areas who are generally weak in English can have sufficient ear training in the language lab. It aims at confidence-building among students for interactions and presentations in English. The basic purpose of the lab is to provide students a platform to enhance English language skills, communication skills and to practice soft skills.


  • The main objectives of the Language Laboratory are:
  • To equip the students with good communication skills.
  • To emphasize the need of English in the technical world.
  • To implement English vocabulary at command and ensure language proficiency.
  • To train the students communication process. The teacher pronounces a word and asks students to pronounce in the same accent.

1. Karate training organised for the Girls B. To create awareness among the young generation . Protection the life of future generations.
