Boys’ Hostel is a well-constructed in 7000 sq feet 63 by 112 feet with 32 residential rooms. Boys’ hostel provides well-ventilated comfort facilities. The topmost priority is given to 24×7 security along with healthy atmosphere and hygienic food to the residents. The basic facilities of the hostel include security cabin, guest room, hostel office, counselling room, warden’s residence room and students’ residence rooms. Each room is well equipped with beds, cupboards, tables, chairs, tube lights, ceiling fan, mobile charger point and dustbin. All rooms in the hostel are self-contained. Common washroom facility is provided to each wing and they are cleaned every day by outsourced housekeeping agency. The facilities like T.V. set, computer, LAN internet connectivity including Wi-Fi provide homely atmosphere to the residents.

Aims and Objectives

• To provide good hostel accommodation for the students.
• To provide higher education accessible to the larger number of male students.
• To retain the sports students in higher education.
• To provide accommodation to the students are denied the opportunity of continuing study due to long distance between college and residential place.

The College hostel admission policies typically require applicants to be enrolled in the college first, and then apply for the hostel separately through offline form. Selection is often based on first come first serve basis, while specific criteria can include gender, category, and sometimes a minimum annual income. Additionally, prospective residents must submit documents like a medical fitness certificate and provide accurate personal information, including any past medical history, as false information can lead to cancellation of admission.

General Application Process:

• College admission first: Students must first be admitted to the college before applying for the hostel.
• Application form: Complete and submit the hostel application form online or offline during the college's admission period.
• Document submission: Provide all required documents, such as a medical fitness certificate from a government medical officer, and be truthful in all information provided.
• Selection: Admission is typically merit-based. The college will create a merit list and announce selected students.
• Finalization: Pay the required fees to secure your seat and complete the admission process.

Eligibility criteria:

Gender: Admission may be restricted to a specific gender if the hostel is designated as a boys' hostel.

Merit: First come first serve basis but sometimes student's academic performance in a previous exam is often a key factor in selection.

Capacity:

Rules and Regulations:

• Residents must maintain discipline and decorum in the hostel. No one is allowed to jump over the hedges or shout near gates.
• Every boarder must be present in his room and keep the room door open at the time of roll call to avoid inconvenience.
• Residents absent at the time of roll call are liable to be punished (including a fine or expulsion from the hostel).
• The hostel gates are closed at 09:30 p.m. Latecomers are allowed to enter the hostel only with the permission of the warden.
• No boarder is allowed to leave the hostel after 09:30 p.m.
• Residents must observe study hours strictly from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Lights must be switched off after study hours.
• Residents must be in their rooms from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Action will be taken against the student found absent from his room or moving about during the above-mentioned hours.
• Absence from the hostel at night or late arrival without prior permission of the warden will be considered an act of gross misconduct and shall call for heavy punishment. Such cases will be immediately reported by the warden to the Principal for disciplinary action.
• Any student found disturbing the academic environment of the hostel, shouting, hooting or picking fights with fellow boarders will be punished.
• Any undesirable activity like keeping/consumption of alcohol, playing cards, etc., will evoke strict action like expulsion.
• The residents of the hostel will be responsible for the safe custody of mobile phones, money, laptops, etc.
• Reports of thefts, if any, will be made to the warden immediately through the proctor. Students should always take care of their articles and keep valuables under lock & key. The authorities do not own any responsibility in respect of thefts due to carelessness or negligence of students.
• The resident scholars should not entertain day scholars in the hostel room. Those who violate this rule will be punished.

Code of Conduct:

It is a policy of the administration of the college to encourage the resident scholars to plan and administer their activities in a proper democratic set up. For this purpose, a separate hostel students’ committee is set up in each hostel, comprising of rector.

The functions of the committee are:

• To make suggestions to the hostel authorities in all matters pertaining to hostel life.
• To infuse community spirit among the resident scholars.
• To assist in the maintenance of proper discipline.
• To regulate the proper conduct of the cultural activities in the hostel.
• To provide an atmosphere of security and friendship.
• To encourage self-reliance and leadership among the resident scholars.

Hostel Discipline:

• The congenial atmosphere of the entire campus of the hostel is conducive to the establishment of a true academic community with full opportunity for social, cultural and intellectual development.
• The college expects its resident scholars to observe the code of conduct laid down for college students and inculcate in them the habit of self-discipline during their stay in the hostel. They are expected to become disciplined and useful citizens.
• Necessary assistance is given to the individual student to adjust himself effectively to all the aspects of college and community living. He is made to learn how to lead a group-life in the hostel so that he has a feeling of belongingness and sharing as in a family.
• Hostel residents are required to be conscious of the environment in which they live by keeping it clean, healthy and presentable.
• Campus is ragging free with zero tolerance towards ragging.
• Possession of identification card duly signed and issued by the hostel authorities is mandatory.
• All valuable items such as laptop, mobile phones, etc. should be kept under lock (preferably a branded one) and boarders should lock the room even when they move out for a short duration.
• The hostel authorities will not be responsible for any loss/damage of private property such as cash/mobile phone/scooter/jewelry and other valuables.
• Residents must protect the hostel property including the materials of gymnasium, water purifiers, computer equipment and T.V. etc.
• Celebration of birthday parties, bursting crackers and holding any meetings in the hostel room or anywhere in the hostel premises is strictly prohibited.
• Writing any slogans or obscene drawings, on the hostel walls and rooms is strictly prohibited.
• In case of health issues, quarrel among students, theft etc., the students should report immediately to hostel authorities.
• Smoking, consumption/storage or supply of liquor or any kind of intoxicant/drugs of abuse, is strictly prohibited.
• Only two wheelers are allowed and permitted to be parked in the parking area only, with prior permission of hostel authorities. Visitors or outsiders’ vehicles are not allowed inside the hostel.
• Daily attendance will be taken in the hostel during assembly time in the evening. Strict disciplinary action will be taken in case of absence of the student without prior permission.
• Any kind of commercial or other activity shall be strictly prohibited in the hostel.
• Any kind of damage to hostel property by hostel residents will be treated as a serious offence.
• Cooking in the hostel rooms is strictly prohibited.
• All quarrels and disputes with fellow resident scholars should be avoided and in no case should a student take the law into his/her own hands. In case of a dispute, a complaint in writing should be made at once to the warden. Students are expected to live in peace and harmony.
• The hostel students shall not interfere and misbehave with hostel committee members, security personnel, and the staff employed at the hostel for maintenance.
• The hostel authorities reserve the right to change any rule from time to time and keep the students informed through notices displayed on the notice board.

For the kind attention of Parents/Guardians/Visitors:

• The parents/guardians are required to submit to the hostel authorities, the name and the address of the local guardians of their wards at the time of joining the hostel on the specified form.
• Identity cards will be issued to the parents and local guardians by the hostel authority.
• Visitors’ Identity cards should not be left with wards.
• Parents should bring their Identity cards such as Aadhar, Passport, Driving License, etc. at the time of admission of their respective ward.
• Parents are not allowed to visit the hostellers at the main gate.
